The 10th graders at WMHS visited four different Neuroscience Labs at UVA this past month. The four labs were Harris Labs, Bland labs, Beenhakker labs, and Fruit Fly Lab.
Harris Labs did ground breaking research this summer by discovering the Lymphatic Vessels that go into the brain.
Bland Labs is where new research is being done on the genetics of insulin signaling.
Beenhakker Labs is working with electrical brain signaling.
Fruit Fly Labs showed the students transformation to glowing larva.
It was AMAZING and eye opening for all who attended.
